We are pleased to share that Can Beauty Heal Us?, a film essay developed through the Weavise initiative, will have its first screening and panel discussion in Geneva in collaboration with the MEA team.

Created by Dr. Yunni Cho with filmmaker Alexandre Humbert, the film explores how architecture, care, and nature shape mental well-being. Filmed across hospitals, museums, and historic sites in Europe, it reflects on how light, material, memory, and human presence can support recovery.

The project began during the Réseau Art Nouveau Network residency Art Nouveau as a New EUtopia and has since expanded into a broader exploration of therapeutic environments and the role of beauty in fostering dignity and connection.

The Geneva screening will be followed by a panel discussion with the MEA team, opening dialogue on mental health, lived experience, and healthcare environments. This first presentation marks an important step in developing Can Beauty Heal Us? as both a film and a platform for rethinking spaces of care.

We thank the Convergences Fondation for hosting this event and supporting this conversation on architecture, mental well-being, and the healing potential of beauty.
